I make a mistake...

I keep a colony of dinoponera and I feed them steroids everyday. Well today they got too big and broke out of the enclosure. I got them back in the enclosure and I ordered some bulletproof plexiglass so hopefully it won't happen again but... before I realized they were out they got into my kid's room and ate him. I'm honestly not that upset he was a little brat but now I don't know how I'm gonna break the news to my wife. How can I tell her so she doesn't make me get rid of them?
